The school is located in the historic city of Ouahigouya located 180 Kms from the capital Ouagadougou, which provides an environment conducive to academic study. Among other amenities, the city offers good public utilities and social services as well as good communication facilities.

The Ouahigouya Institute of Management (ISGO) is a tertiary education institution created by the ISGO Group (GISGO-SM). It strives to be a center of excellence in management training and development in Africa.

Training at ISGO is professional in nature. It is offered over a minimum of three years and is designed on the basis of the LMD model (Licence, Masters, Doctorate). Starting with the 2006/2007 academic year, the training program will seek to:
- Impart to students knowledge and professional skills in Economics, Finance, Law and Management;
- train students for employment in Accounting, Audit, Management Control, Banking and Insurance;
- provide adequate preparation for students graduating after three years of studies, to continue their training and education so as to get a Master’s degree or a Doctorate;

Starting with the 2006 academic year, courses will be offered on a bilingual basis (French and English).
